The only power that might be needed is a single plug socket to charge any extra batteries. Having an extra battery charging allows you to swap a dead battery over with a newly charged one immediately. For larger projects it can be good practice to have multiple batteries charging at once in case you have to use different tools like saws and drills at the same time.
